Set Up And Score A Tournament

Set up a golf competition’s course, tees and scoring, then check its participant field.

Examples use golf. For another sport, choose its available rules, scoring, and exercises. Golf-only features are noted in the steps.

Open The Competition. Open your event, open the Competitions tab (1) and select the competition to configure (2). Each competition has its own rules, entries and results; Create And Publish An Event shows how to create the event.

Check The Course And Tees. In Sport Settings, check the Golf Course (1) and the tee rule for each player group (2): HI From and HI To give the handicap range, then the gender and the front and back tees. Add Rule (3) adds another group; other sports show their own rules here.

Choose The Scoring. In Scoring Settings, check Competitors, Competition Type and Scoring Method, such as Gross Stroke Play or Stableford (1). Allowance (2) is the share of the handicap players receive, 100 by default, and Add challenge (3) adds a fun challenge such as closest to the pin.

Save The Settings. After a change, such as an allowance of 95, choose Save in the unsaved changes bar at the top (1). Discard restores the last saved values.

Review The Participant Field. Open the Participants tab (1), select the competition in the Competition filter (2), and check names, handicaps and tees in the list (3). Record And Publish Results continues with entering scores on the day.
